Burlap Jewelry Organizer

I've been taking inspiration from some of my fellow bloggers lately.  This is my take on an idea I saw here.

As you can see, I made a few changes to suit my taste.

I found some fabulous burlap a while ago and held on to it for that perfect project.  It's a pale green color and very pretty (for burlap).  I used some of it for this project.

Get an old frame with a back and paint it to suit your color scheme.  This one is black.

Cover the back of the frame and hot glue around the edges.

Fit it back into your frame.

Now decorate!  I made some tattered rolled cabbage roses and put them on the corner (see tutorial below).  I used the leftover muslin to make a few leaves.

I also used five knobs that I had in my knob stash and hot glued them to the bottom of the frame for necklaces and bracelets.

Now hang it!  I used the 3M picture hanging strips so I didn't have to put a hole in the side of my cabinet.

Hang your jewelry!  The burlap has large enough holes that you can put your earring wires through it.

This is my before picture:

And my after picture!

If I do it again:

I love how this project turned out and probably wouldn't do anything differently!
